Maintenance & Repair

General Isolation Valves by far are the largest group in terms of numbers and configurations, but probably the easiest to manage as they rarely create emergency shutdown, production failure or compliance issues however it is important to have a proactive MRO programme in place.

The strategy for the General Isolation group is centred around the need to ensure that the valves operate when required (often after long periods in a static position) and the need for assured seal. The strategy here is two-fold, encompassing the implementation of a general maintenance routine (including flushing & greasing prior to shutdown), as well as the ability to provide fast replacement from stock, or the supply chain, in the event of seal failure. Severn can demonstrate over 40 years of expertise in this area.
