Business Need / Purpose of Role:

The HR Manager will partner with the Severn UK division businesses at Gloucester and Brighouse to ensure that HR processes are compliant with local, regional regulations and with Severn Group Company policies. The HR Manager will plan, design, implement and lead all HR’s practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented high performance culture emphasizing quality, productivity, goal attainment and empowerment and is responsible for the development of processes and reporting metrics that support the achievement of business goals. Reporting directly to the Division HR Director and working closely with colleagues to ensure all HR duties are undertaken in accordance with role and responsibility assigned, employment law, company policy and ensuring any risk to the function and division business is minimized.

This role is to shape the performance and development systems for all employees, designing and supporting the company talent frameworks including performance management, succession planning, employee relations, statutory compliance, and workforce/human resource planning.

Objectives:

  • Ensuring that the Company’s HR policy & procedures comply with employment laws & regulations and experience of designing and writing HR policies, procedures, offers, letters, and contracts of employment.
  • To seek advice and approval on changes related to HR policy, practice, procedure, and issues.
  • Manage all recruitment needs for the company, including implementing and continually developing a robust recruitment process.
  • Overseeing the recruitment process, including reviewing job descriptions, job ads, updating of the company resource plan and helping with selection of CV’s.
  • Implement resources planning and succession planning with help of respective team members.
  • Plan, develop and monitor succession plans for key and other essential roles and execute whenever necessary.
  • Working with management to ensure employees have the skills and resources they need to achieve their objectives
  • Champion the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role in relation to the overall vision. and conducting exit interviews.
  • Identification and Implementation of high-level training & development programs for growth path.
  • Coaching Line Managers on ways to motivate their employees and lead more effectively.
  • Developing plans for recruitment, training, restructuring and succession planning and leading and supporting the implementation.
  • Handle Employee relations through which building and maintaining harmony at work
  • Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues handling any disciplinary process and grievances. as well as try to resolve as per legal advises. where highlight and help to resolve any issues/challenges regarding employee relations. Where resolving of conflicts to be positive and in a professional mediation.
  • Handle workplace investigations, disciplinary, and termination procedures.
  • Design and lead organizational strategies in HR and discussing on business strategies, HR challenges and plans with Leadership and key stakeholders, that can help the business.
  • Ensure all legal & Statutory compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements, conducting investigations and are compiled on time every month, new amendments to be incorporated immediately and maintaining of records of the same.
  • To deliver and report on the employee pulse survey to ensure feedback from employees is collated and interpreted correctly to help improve of employee satisfaction index scores.
  • In conjunction with the HRBP and Analyst reviewing pay structures, employee compensation and benefits. Add on to this verifying of payroll and ensuring of all employee related payments.
  • Analyse HR metrics and comparing results to key performance indicators
  • Responsible for administrative tasks and contribute to making the division a better place to work, including but not limited to contracts of employment, HR documentation production, handbooks, policies, and document drafting for review.
  • Provide key HR metrics including employee retention, turnover rates, and headcount reports, in liaison with the division HR Analysis.
  • Provide insight and recommendations on HR initiatives that can be leveraged to strengthen business results e.g., leadership/development programs.
  • Knowledge and experience of introducing new ideas to improve employee engagement.
  • Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, allowances, and other related benefits.
  • Plan, implement and manage the rewards & recognition to employees and are notified of qualifying rewards in a timely manner.
  • To Engage cross functionally and seek feedback from employees.
  • Proposing of yearly division HR budgets (Capex) and putting it forward to function head for approval.
  • Handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Assess training needs for HR team members and schedule trainings.
  • Oversee workloads associated with the division HR function and seek for support for any requirements in discussion with division HR director.
  • Aligning & facilitating the Organization with HR Global requirement as and when required.
  • Ensuring of employee wellness & care.

Education and/or Experience:

  • CIPD qualified level 7 or other equivalent qualification
  • Human resource Management specialization or similar qualification
  • Knowledge of Employment laws and laws related to organization.  
  • 10+ Years of experience, where previous experience is also crucial, and candidates ideally must be at least last 5 years of handling a HR team, preferably in a high-growth environment.
  • A proven track record of leading the delivery of HR functions to a high standard.
  • Proven experience in handling projects and its deliverables with alignment with the business goals & needs.
  • Experience in handling employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations, handled these preferably in a manufacturing sector.
